Can Poor Blood Circulation Cause Balding?

Good blood circulation in scalp is required to help bring nutrients to the hair follicle and for healthy hair growth. It is possible that poor circulation can cause the hair follicle to not get enough nutrients and thus cause thinning and eventually balding. There are many causes of poor blood circulation including stress, lack of exercise, and medical conditions. Stress can cause the scalp to tighten and lower blood circulation in the area. Additionally a lack of exercise or healthy circulatory system may cause there to be a less than healthy amount of blood flow to the scalp. However, extra blood circulation will not stimulate growth.
